Yang Mei Hua 杨美华
杨美华女士是活跃在中国当代玻璃艺术领域中的年轻有为的艺术家中有魄力的一位，她于上海大学美术学院毕业后，在南京艺术学院创建了玻璃工作室并开设了玻璃专业这一新学科。凭着她的勇气和突破、创新的精神，她在作品创作中通过对技术工艺的熟练掌握和对温度速度的控制，尝试不同材料与玻璃熔融的视觉效果。她的作品充满着朝气、活力与现代感。
Yang Mei Hua is a bold young artist on the glass scene in China. After receiving her master’s degree in studio glass from Shanghai University last year, she established a glass studio for the Nanjing Art Institute and launched a glass program there. Overcoming many difficulties in setting up the studio, she has proven herself to be creative, not only in her artwork but also in establishing a new program on her own. Yang’s works reflect her interests in texture and different materials. During the firing process she deliberately controls the speed and temperature of the kiln in order to achieve various visual effects. Her experimental techniques result in works that are imaginative and distinctive.
